In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of communication apps in Bulgaria showed diverse trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. According to Sensor Tower, these insights provide a snapshot of user engagement and app monetization.

Rakuten Viber Messenger from Viber Media saw weekly revenue peaking at around $6K by the end of February. Downloads started at approximately 14.9K, tapering off to just over 9.4K by the end of the quarter. Active users remained strong, hovering around 3M throughout the period.

Telegram experienced a surge in weekly revenue, reaching $7.6K in early February. Downloads remained fairly consistent, peaking at 16.2K in mid-February. Active users fluctuated slightly, with a high of 958K in March before ending the quarter at 831K.

Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out showed modest revenue, peaking at $2.8K at the start of the quarter. Downloads varied between 3.1K and 4.3K, with active users maintaining a steady presence around 190K.
